About Us

About us

Our mission as poodle breeders is to produce outstanding poodles of all colors and to restore the parti colors which were bred out when poodles were brought to the United States. We are passionate about all standard poodles, but focus most on rare colors like parti, brindles, and phantom markings. We try to focus most on bringing down the inbreeding coefficient of these rare patterned standard poodles to at or below 4.5% per litter (which is ideal). Due to their rarity, partis and phantoms generally are from the same lines and frequently are highly inbred. We also test our dogs for genetically testable diseases such as vWD and NE.

In the next years we hope to begin showing with UKC. All our dogs are also our family who are indoor pets and we plan to always keep it that way!

Our History-

When we got married, Rebekah couldn't wait to get dogs! We got a purebred bichon boy, who we named Dookie (Sir Dooksalot). Eight months later, Rebekah wanted another puppy and got Maya, named after the Mayan indians where we went on our honeymoon. We adore our little bichons and are so happy that they introduced us to the canine race.

A couple years later, once Rebekah started medical school, we got a standard poodle to be a guard dog (and our pet). We were hooked on the breed! After getting Odyssey, our namesake, Rebekah came across a rare chocolate and white Irish tux female, now our gorgeous Athena. Since then, we researched poodle colors and decided to focus on returning some of the original kaleidoscope of poodle colors to the world. Now Rebekah has decided to leave medicine to breed full time and focus on her passion of standard poodles and begin to show her dogs.

Our cat Piddles also deserves a mention— she is the sweetest kitty in the world. She really wants to always be in your lap purring! She is just as vocal as all the doggies and likes to stalk the dogs when they aren't watching.

We are rehabbing a 100 year old home in historic Harrison West in Columbus, OH. It is crazy, but we have ripped out lathe walls and re-sided, built walls…you name it. We plan to move soon to rural Ohio or NH.
